Upcoming Events

C3 has a variety of virtual and on-campus events throughout the year for our students.

Most events are open only to C3 students, though drop in hours are available to anyone.

Registration is required for most events. To register, click on the link for each event below. Dates are subject to change, including changes to state/local mandates or gathering limits. If a change is necessary, students will be notified via email. For in person events, all participants must obey all NC State, city, county, or state policies related to COVID-19. For more information on current NC State policies, please visit the Protect the Pack website.

Intent to Transfer application open

September 1 – September 15, 2022

If this is your last semester at your community college, it’s time to let us know you’re ready to transfer! While the Intent to Transfer form through C3 is much simpler than the standard transfer student application, there’s a very narrow window of time you have to submit it. Apply online between September 1 and September 15. Need help with the application? See below for our virtual drop in sessions.

Making the move from your community college to NC State can feel a bit intimidating. In this informal drop in session, C3 staff will walk you through the application process, step-by-step. This session is for C3 students who will be wrapping up their final semester at the community college this fall & transferring to NC State in spring 2023.

Transferring in spring 2023? This mandatory session is for you. In this virtual workshop, C3 staff will walk you through the next steps in your journey to an NC State degree, from financial aid to registering for classes to parking.

Meet up with other Wolfpack fans in C3 to watch the NC State men’s soccer team take on the Syracuse Orangemen. This game is open to all and no tickets/student ID required.

Harambee! Homecoming Event Meetup

November 4 from 3:00-6:00 p.m.

The African American Cultural Center’s annual Harambee! Fall Welcome-Back Block Party offers the opportunity for all to come together to celebrate the beginning of a new year. Harambee is a kiswahili term meaning “all pull together.” Join up with other C3 students and explore this special NC State tradition!

Career Research Activity Due

December 15, 2022

Finding the right path to your dream job is a key goal of the C3 program. Our community college students are required to complete one career-related activity per semester. Whether you attend a job fair, complete a career inventory, shadow a professional in a field that sounds interesting, or a project of your own design, it’s quick and easy to document your participation. Virtual Events

We host our virtual events through Zoom. To use Zoom, go to https://ncsu.zoom.us/signin. If you are already signed in through Shibboleth, then the link will take you directly to your Zoom account. Meeting links to Zoom workshops will be emailed to students who have RSVP’d. To join, click the “Access Webinar” link in your email.

Transportation

It is the student’s responsibility to arrange their own transportation to on-campus events. Some community colleges may assist with travel arrangements. Please contact your C3 liaison for more information regarding transportation for specific events.

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, NC State will honor requests for reasonable accommodations made by individuals with disabilities.
