C3 has a variety of virtual and on-campus events throughout the year for our students. Most events are open to C3 students only, though Open House is available to anyone.

Registration is required for most events. To register, click on the link for each event below.

Dates are subject to change. If a change is necessary, students will be notified via email.

HOWL Well Do You Know NC State

September 10, 2020

For C3 students who are at NC State, this virtual trivia event will introduce students to some NC State history and resources.

Questions about NC State life? Our community college students can get the scoop on NC State life, straight from our current students. This event will help students prepare for a smooth transition to campus.

Understanding your YouScience results

October 8, 2020 from 4-5 p.m.

Community college students who have completed the YouScience inventory will have a chance to talk with other students and C3 advisors about their results. We’ll help you make sense of these new options and understand what it might mean for your career.

October 17-21

Discover all that NC State has to offer, from the comfort of your couch! Open to prospective students considering applying to C3, as well as anyone who wants to learn more about the University.

Financial Aid Information Session

October 14, 2020 at 4pm

The Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid will be hosting a virtual workshop to prepare C3 students for the financial aid process at NC State. We’ll cover important dates and deadlines, as well as what to expect from the financial aid awarding process. After the Zoom session, Financial Aid counselors will be available to answer your individual questions. Open to community college and NC State students.

Drop-In Hours

Recurring times – see links below

Got a quick question? In pre-pandemic times, the door to the C3 office was always open. While we’re operating remotely, these drop in hours are our virtual front door. Prospective students who want to learn about C3 or current students who need a hand are welcome to chat with C3 Director Martha Harmening. She’ll point you toward resources and provide a listening ear.

October 14 – 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

October 21 – 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

October 22 – 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.

October 26 – 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.

October 30 – 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

 


November 2020

Community College Advising Sessions – TBD

Be on the lookout for a message from your NC State advisors. All advising sessions will be held virtually, and will happen in late October to early November.

So you think you want to be an engineer?

November 12 at 2 p.m

Community college students considering a career in engineering – this event is for you! Dr. Javon Adams from NC State’s College of Engineering will be hosting a virtual workshop for C3 students.  He will highlight how to know if engineering is right for you and how to align majors with your career goals.

Virtual Events

We host our virtual events through Zoom. To use Zoom, go to https://ncsu.zoom.us/signin. If you are already signed in through Shibboleth, then the link will take you directly to your Zoom account. Meeting links to Zoom workshops will be emailed to students who have RSVP’d. To join, click the “Access Webinar” link in your email.

Transportation

It is the student’s responsibility to arrange their own transportation to on-campus events. Some community colleges may assist with travel arrangements. Please contact your C3 liaison for more information regarding transportation for specific events.
