Upcoming Events

C3 has a variety of virtual and on-campus events throughout the year for our students.

Most events are open only to C3 students, though drop in hours are available to anyone.

Registration is required for most events. To register, click on the link for each event below. Dates are subject to change, including changes to state/local mandates or gathering limits. If a change is necessary, students will be notified via email. For in person events, all participants must obey all NC State, city, county, or state policies related to COVID-19. For more information on current NC State policies, please visit the Protect the Pack website.

Chill out with C3

I scream, you scream, we all scream for C3 ice cream! As part of Wolfpack Welcome Week, the C3 program invites current NC State C3 students to swing by our office and enjoy a sweet treat on us. Share a delicious cup of Howling Cow and meet some of the people who can help you thrive at NC State.

Time to Transfer Virtual Info Sessions

Tuesday, September 7 from 4:30-5:30pm
Wednesday, September 8 from noon-1 pm

Making the move from your community college to NC State can feel a bit intimidating. C3 staff will walk you through the process, step-by-step. From filling out your Intent to Transfer form to registering for classes, we will make sure you know what you need to do. This session is for C3 students who will be wrapping up their final semester at the community college this fall & graduating in December 2021.

We’ve added new partner community colleges, so our old t-shirts no longer reflect our program. But in an effort to keep t-shirts out of the landfill and give you something fun to do, we’re going to have a little fun with the ones we have left. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy and join us for a tie-dye party. Will there be a prize for the coolest design?! Join us and find out! Arts and crafts not your gig? Well then just come for the Howling Cow Ice cream.

Bump, Set, Spike!

Community college students – this one’s for you! We’ll BUMP around to explore campus resources, SET you up for success by learning to balance your time well, and cheer on the Wolfpack volleyball team as they SPIKE against Arkansas! Get a taste of life at NC State – strategies for success, where to get help when you need a hand, and a little fun to end the evening. Can you dig it?

College of Natural Resources info sessions

As the #4 college in the nation and #1 college in NC (college factual) for studying natural resources and conservation, the NC State College of Natural Resources equips students to provide solutions to the challenges of natural resources, use and management, social and ecological sustainability, and human health and well-being. Every major includes hands-on learning, in-the-field training, and access to industry experts to help you pursue your passion.
Join these Virtual Major Information Series to learn about all things Natural Resources! Each session will include faculty, staff, and students to provide an in-depth overview of the major, including courses, internships/careers, college resources, and research opportunities.

If you are planning to transfer to NC State in January, this session is for you! We’ll touch on all the next steps for financial aid/billing, connecting with an advisor in your major, registering for classes, housing, and more. Plus we will answer any questions you can throw our way!

Financial aid is complex, but it doesn’t have to be hard! Learn about the process and key deadlines that will help maximize your eligibility for scholarships, grants, and loans.

So you think you want to be an engineer?

In this workshop, Dr. Javon Adams will emphasize the importance of career exploration, dispel common myths, and share best practices for NC State’s College of Engineering.  If you are interested in transferring to NC State’s College of Engineering we hope you will join us.

Virtual Events

We host our virtual events through Zoom. To use Zoom, go to https://ncsu.zoom.us/signin. If you are already signed in through Shibboleth, then the link will take you directly to your Zoom account. Meeting links to Zoom workshops will be emailed to students who have RSVP’d. To join, click the “Access Webinar” link in your email.

Transportation

It is the student’s responsibility to arrange their own transportation to on-campus events. Some community colleges may assist with travel arrangements. Please contact your C3 liaison for more information regarding transportation for specific events.
