C3 has a variety of virtual and on-campus events throughout the year for our students.

Most events are open to C3 students only, though drop in hours are available to anyone.

Registration is required for most events. To register, click on the link for each event below.

From designing elephant collars that protect remote villages and innovating bite sleeves that shield military officers from harm to developing fabrics that harvest energy and garments that monitor your vital signs, our students lead lives of impact. Textiles today are innovativelife savingcreativeglobal, all around you and thriving right here in North Carolina. Our textile students build their education on a foundation of science that takes them to fashion housesNASA, textile design companies, laboratories, graduate school and beyond. Along with our faculty and staff, they embody the Think and Do philosophy that is NC State. The March 18 event will focus on Textile Engineering, Chemistry, and Science. The April 8 event will focus on Textile Apparel, Technology, and Management.

The College of Sciences is NC State’s home for the physical, chemical, mathematical, statistical, biological and earth-system sciences. With more than 4,100 students, we’re one of the largest colleges at NC State. Whether you want to head to med school or understand how the universe works, tell the story behind the numbers or discover the mystery in our cells, these programs teach students to be problem solvers who are adept at using their scientific expertise to benefit society.

Thursday, April 8 from 5-6 p.m.

Have you ever considered a career in the fashion industry? Whether your interest is in making garments and participating in fashion shows, or working with the development, production and marketing of apparel, Wilson College of Textiles has you covered! Here, you have the opportunity to major in Fashion and Textile Design, giving you the ability to flex your creative skills and learn the technical and aesthetic aspects of apparel design, or Fashion and Textile Management, giving you the ability to blend your love of fashion with business. Our textile students build their education on a foundation of science that takes them to fashion houses, NASA, textile design companies, laboratories, graduate school and beyond.

Virtual Events

We host our virtual events through Zoom. To use Zoom, go to https://ncsu.zoom.us/signin. If you are already signed in through Shibboleth, then the link will take you directly to your Zoom account. Meeting links to Zoom workshops will be emailed to students who have RSVP’d. To join, click the “Access Webinar” link in your email.

Transportation

It is the student’s responsibility to arrange their own transportation to on-campus events. Some community colleges may assist with travel arrangements. Please contact your C3 liaison for more information regarding transportation for specific events.
